Position - Quality Engineer
Location – Holtec Asia, Pune Maharashtra
Work for Material Reviews:
1. Review of Material Test Reports to ensure materials meet specified quality standards and requirements. This involves verifying the accuracy of test results, comparing them against relevant specifications (ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section II & Section III, ASTM, and Customer Requirements as applicable) and making informed decisions about material acceptability.- A) Ensuring Material Quality: Quality Engineers review Material Test Reports to verify that materials used in manufacturing processes meet the required quality standards.
B) Verification of Test Results: Quality Engineers confirm that test results accurately reflect the material's properties and specifications.
C) Comparison with Specifications: Material Test Reports are compared against relevant material standards, drawings, bill of materials and purchase order specifications.
D) Acceptance: Based on the Material Test Report(s) review, Quality Engineers determine whether the material is acceptable for use, or if it needs further investigation or disposition.
E) Addressing Deviations: If Material Test Report(s) reveal deviations from specifications, Quality Engineers collaborate with other departments to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Work for Manufacturing Documentation Package Reviews:
2. Quality Engineer involved in manufacturing documentation package reviews would be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documentation related to manufacturing processes, materials, and product specifications. This involves reviewing documents like work instructions, drawings, and specifications, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
A) Reviewing documentation: Examining all relevant documentation packages for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
B) Identifying discrepancies: Spotting any errors, inconsistencies, or omissions in the documentation.
C) Ensuring compliance: Confirming that the documentation meets all applicable quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
D) Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to resolve any identified issues.
E) Documentation of issues: Creating detailed reports or records of any documentation discrepancies or non-conformances.
Work For ACC (Air Cooled Condensers) related.
3. Vendor Inspection of Bought out items such as - Vacuum ejector system, LT motors, Gearbox, FRP Fan & Fan bells, Motorised Valves, Centrifugal pumps, Expansion Bellows etc.
4. Preparation & submission of ITP/QAP
5. Vendor Inspection of fabricated/raw items - Steel structure, Tanks, Ducting, process piping & fittings, Raw plates, pipes & forgings etc.
6. Preparation of Quality documents and welding related documents for TPIA/Client approval.
7. Review and maintaining stage Inspection reports, approved document files etc.
8. Witnessing & documentation of Hydraulic & Pneumatic Test & NDT (RT/DP/ MPT/ UT/VT)
9. Maintain NCR/Customer Complaint/Lessons Learnt/Continual Improvement Logs Final documentation: Prepare and compile final documentation as per approved MRB Index.
10. Calibrations & Recording of Measuring & Monitoring Devises.
11. Welding Procedure & Welder Qualification as Per Standard ASME SEC. IX & AWS D1.1 Code.
