The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing nuclear projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards. This role provides leadership for project activities, manages project costs and cash flow forecasts, and oversees multidisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient, and successful project execution..
Responsibilities
- Implements projects in accordance with regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Coordinates activities within the Project Organizations including Radiation Protection, Security, Facilities, Engineering and vendors.
- Develops Purchase Requisitions and Request for Proposals for assigned projects
- Develops and maintains tools to improve the efficiency of performing project work. Reviews and evaluates performance of the project staff and contractors.
- Oversees procedures and documentation which govern and control project activities.
- Recommends necessary project training as required.
- Proposes project changes which improve efficiency and safety. Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of project activities. Communicates technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline required.
- Equivalent project management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; however, a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear power design, construction, maintenance, demolition, operations, production, project management, or a related field.
- Strong project management and technical leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of nuclear power generation principles and operations.
- Experience managing project costs, schedules, and resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong conflict management and change management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business and project management applications.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License or certification on a BWR or PWR preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
