Position: Sr. Human Resources Generalist
Location: Orrvilon Manufacturing Division in Orrville, OH (On-site)
Holtec International is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations at one of its manufacturing facilities. This role serves as a key on-site HR partner, supporting plant leadership and associates across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and operational effectiveness.
The Senior HR Generalist plays a critical role in fostering a productive, compliant, and high-performance work environment aligned with Holtec’s commitment to operational excellence, safety, and innovation in manufacturing.
Minimum required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience.
- Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters independently.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Experience supporting hourly and salaried workforces.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational setting.
Additional desirable qualifications:
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, energy, or industrial operations.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (SAP, ADP, or similar platforms).
- Experience supporting safety-driven, compliance-focused environments.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
- Serve as primary HR partner to plant leadership, supervisors, and managers.
- Provide guidance and coaching on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct and document workplace investigations in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and succession planning initiatives.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring needs for hourly and salaried roles.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
- Monitor attendance trends, turnover, and workforce metrics; provide analysis and recommendations to plant leadership.
- Support performance management processes, including corrective actions and documentation review.
- Assist with compensation administration, job evaluations, and internal equity considerations.
- Partner with EHS and leadership to reinforce a culture of safety and accountability.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and drive programs that promote retention and morale.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and personnel records in compliance with company policy.
- Participate in audits, reporting, and compliance reviews as needed.
- Contribute to broader HR initiatives aligned with corporate strategy.
