Manufacturing Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Manufacturing Team Lead 2nd Shift will assist the Supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supporting safe work practices, ensuring quality standards are met, and promoting effective communication and coordination across shifts and departments. The Team Lead will help maintain a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Support nuclear safety and ensure adherence to all safety procedures and safe work practices at all times
- Identify and correct unsafe behaviors or escalate concerns to management as necessary
- Promote and produce high-quality work while identifying and elevating potential quality issues
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure smooth turnover between shifts and support continuity of operations
- Receive and execute verbal and written instructions from supervisors or managers
- Complete work orders and other documentation related to daily assignments
- Attend in-person or virtual meetings (Teams) and communicate via email as required
- Mentor and train new employees on safety procedures, shop practices, quality standards, and productivity expectations
- Conduct pre-job briefs, toolbox talks, and shift turnover updates
- Input data into spreadsheets, databases, and other reporting systems
- Direct and delegate work activities within the department as assigned
- Identify and recommend process improvements and encourage employee engagement
- Complete and review departmental documentation and reports
- Work with HR to address and resolve employee relations concerns
- Adhere to all Holtec International / Orrvilon policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook
Requirements:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Proven track record of successful work history
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheets and data entry
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Prior experience leading employees in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to present information to individuals and groups
- Strong dependability, time management, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with ability to meet established goals
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and shifts
