Position: Modifications Supervisor

Location: Palisades Entergy

Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of Modifications Supervisor in its Projects department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI.

Job Summary:

Provides first line supervision of assigned staff performing site modifications and field engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains an excellent understanding of the work management process. Manages and oversees a multi-disciplined Modifications group including union and contractor workers.
• Ensures all Modifications activities are performed within regulatory and procedural guidelines. Ensures assigned Modifications tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
• Assists in the site’s Modifications budget development and functions within the budget.
• Communicates with all levels of the organization, including representing the Modifications department at meetings.
• Proposes time-saving tooling and work methods. Ensures all Modifications activities are performed within regulatory and procedural guidelines. Ability to manage Modifications personnel and resolve employee conflict or concerns. Interfaces with other Holtec sites to maximize resource sharing for Modifications.
• Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station Modifications activities. Communicates Modifications technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. Participates in the shared resources program. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in the related field. B.S. in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for 3 years of experience. 4 years of experience in craft or discipline he/she supervises. 2 years of technical training.
• Technical proficiency in the Modifications area. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Proficiency with current computer business applications.
• Candidates must meet or exceed ANSI/ANS 3.1-1978. ANSI Section 4.3.2 – Supervisors Not Requiring NRC Licenses: High School Diploma or equivalent. 4 years of experience in craft or discipline he/she supervises. Candidates for this position must meet requirements specified in ANSI/ANS Standards and Regulatory Guidelines. In addition, site Technical Specifications, FSAR, or procedures may contain additional requirements.
