Position: Stockkeeper

Location: Palisades Energy

Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of Stockkeeper in its Procurement department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI.

Palisades is positioned to become the first nuclear power plant in the United States to restart after previously entering the early stages of decommissioning. By joining our team, you will be part of a unique and historic undertaking for the nuclear industry and the nation!

Job Summary:

• Accurately pick and pack material manually weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Utilize mechanical equipment for heavier material.
• Process material returned from the field.
• Unload material, inspect for damage and accurately count to complete receiving process then put away in proper bin location.
• Perform accurate inventory counts and problem solving to reconcile inventory differences.
• Participates, supports, and complies with all health, safety, and quality requirements.
• Loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, stacking, moving, counting, weighting, sorting, and arranging equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Assisting in preparing materials and equipment for use or shipment.
• Operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, barrel dolly and hand carts.
• Cleaning and keeping all storage areas in order.
• Use of hand or portable power tools in the performance of duties.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to manually lift 50lbs and operate powered industrial lift truck and/or electric pallet jacks.
• Must qualify for an automobile operator’s license and operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Must qualify for nuclear unescorted plant access.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of stores concepts and methods.
• Must demonstrate problem-solving ability to resolve material inaccuracies.

• Degree preferred but not required.
• Certification to operate powered industrial fork trucks OR must have the ability to successfully complete forklift operator training certification program.
• Knowledge of Inventory and Material Control software systems.
• Minimum of 4 years of established warehouse experience.
• Ability to effectively work and communicate with others in the organization including good oral and written communication skills.

This position may be filled as a Stockkeeper II or Stockkeeper I based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

THIS IS A UNION POSITION
Hourly wage (based on level): $44.50 - $47.41
