Sr. Radiological Specialist

Position: Radiation Protection Specialist, Support

Location: Palisades Energy

Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of Radiation Protection Specialist in its Radiation Protection department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI.

Job Summary:

Responsible for leading and implementing assigned radiation protection programs, to include but not limited to corrective action program, budgets, procedures, record submittals, dosimetry activities, training coordination, and attending meetings, as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the corrective action program and attend the required meetings.
• Support the management team with budgets and expenses. Also, attend meetings with finance for discussions on proposals and provide updates throughout the year.
• Conduct procedure revisions as needed for the department and submittal to document control for issuing.
• Support the department with record submittals to document control electronically or physically.
• Provide the department with miscellaneous support when necessary, including (but not limited to), RWP writing, verifications, support in the field, and technology support. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of commercial or military nuclear experience.
• Desired: Background in CAP program, technology, and document management. 
• Technical proficiency in the RP Support area.
• Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.
• Proficiency with current computer business applications.
