Supply Chain Project Manager II

The Supply Chain Project Manager II will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects and procurement processes within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Location: Camden, NJ (On-Site)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support overall procurement process for nuclear grade components and engineering services. This includes defining scopes, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budget.
- Work closely with other project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of assigned projects are aligned and progressing smoothly.
- Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project/procurement lifecycle.
- Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
- Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and report on financial status.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, NRC regulations, and company quality guidelines.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
- Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
- Align procurement plans with overall program milestones, including design, licensing, fabrication, and construction phases.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, particularly for nuclear-grade components and safety-related equipment.
- Lead competitive sourcing processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) for complex technical scopes.
- Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure procurement schedules support site readiness and installation sequencing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 2-4 years of experience in commercial or navy nuclear with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with U.S. NRC Regulation relating to commercial nuclear units (preferred)
- SRO license or certification (preferred)
- MS in Engineering (preferred)
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, P6)
- Familiar with CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
