Supervisor-Production II

Holtec International is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor II to lead and coordinate manufacturing operations within the Holtec Advanced Manufacturing Division. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel, executing manufacturing schedules, and ensuring operations meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
The Production Supervisor II works closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production planning teams to ensure fabrication activities are completed in accordance with technical specifications, code requirements, and company procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in heavy steel fabrication, welding and machining operations, and demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma required; a 2-year technical degree or completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in heavy steel fabrication or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with ASME codes and regulated manufacturing standards.
• Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work all shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as required by production operations. Shift assignments may vary based on production needs.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience working in nuclear, energy, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or shop floor coordination.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure manufacturing schedules and production targets are achieved.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure fabrication activities comply with code requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
• Direct and coordinate the work of production associates including welders and laborers.
• Plan work assignments, production sequences, and staffing levels to meet production schedules and operational priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production planning teams to resolve technical issues and maintain workflow.
• Review drawings, blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor production operations to ensure work is performed according to established procedures and standards.
• Inspect materials, components, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Provide training and guidance to production personnel on equipment operation, work procedures, and safety practices.
• Monitor production performance and address operational issues impacting efficiency or quality.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate activities with other supervisors and departments to support efficient manufacturing operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Ensure production teams meet deadlines and maintain consistent operational performance across shifts.
Salary Range: $100,000-$115,000 annually.
