The Project Manager, Field Operations supports the Planning and execution of equipment delivery and site operations within Holtec’s Site Services Division. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through on-site execution, while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met. The ideal candidate brings strong project management capability, operational awareness, and the ability to effectively coordinate across internal teams, vendors, and field personnel in a fast‑paced, technical environment.

 

Location: Camden, NJ (On site; approximately 50% travel split between office and field operations)

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics in alignment with Holtec procedures
  • Coordinate vendors, logistics, and procurement activities, including securing proposals, issuing purchase orders, and managing commercial closeout
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Prepare and communicate project updates, status reports, and key deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead project planning efforts, including facilitating internal and external planning meetings
  • Ensure effective contract administration, including project closeout, post-project evaluations, and lessons learned
  • Provide evaluation and recommendations for contracted services, materials, and project execution strategies
  • Serve as the onsite lead during equipment delivery, offloading, and assembly operations
  • Oversee quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements
  • Conduct safety briefings, direct field personnel, and ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently
  • Supervise site activities including equipment assembly, concrete placement, and overall project execution
  • Perform site walkdowns, conduct surveillance of contractors and vendors, and ensure successful project delivery

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in project management, field operations, or construction/manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance across multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience coordinating vendors, logistics, procurement processes, and contract administration activities
  • Ability to perform effectively in both office and field environments, with significant travel requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to lead safe work practices in field operations
  • Ability to maintain required site access credentials, including medical or testing requirements as applicable
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in field operations or project execution
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or nuclear plant operations environments preferred
  • Familiarity with nuclear industry regulations or large-scale industrial project environments
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Compensation:

  • Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $55,000 to $65,000.
