The Production Supervisor III leads complex manufacturing operations within the Holtec Advanced Manufacturing Division. This role is responsible for directing multi-disciplinary production activities, overseeing critical manufacturing operations, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and regulatory requirements in a highly regulated nuclear manufacturing environment.

 

The Production Supervisor III serves as an operational leader coordinating fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and production execution across multiple work areas or shifts. This position partners closely with engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, production planning, and senior operations leadership to drive manufacturing performance, resolve complex technical challenges, and support strategic production objectives..

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate complex manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, quality objectives, and operational targets
  • Direct production activities across multiple work areas, shifts, and manufacturing disciplines
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with engineering specifications, ASME code requirements, quality standards, and approved procedures
  • Supervise and coordinate production personnel including welders, fitters, machinists, assemblers, laborers, and lead personnel
  • Develop staffing plans, work assignments, and production priorities to support operational and strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, and production planning teams to resolve complex technical and operational issues
  • Monitor production performance to identify and address schedule delays, quality concerns, and operational inefficiencies
  • Support nonconformance resolution, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and implementation of process improvements
  • Review technical drawings, work packages, and fabrication specifications to determine operational requirements and sequencing
  • Ensure proper execution of welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, and material handling activities
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, labor reporting, and operational records
  • Support customer visits, audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Mentor and develop production personnel and subordinate supervisors to strengthen workforce capabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Partner with senior operations leadership on long-term production planning and execution strategies
  • Ensure consistent operational performance across teams and achievement of critical delivery milestones

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Welding Technology, or related field preferred
  • 10–15+ years of experience in heavy steel fabrication, nuclear manufacturing, or industrial production environments
  • 8–12 years of supervisory or production leadership experience
  • Advanced knowledge of ASME Section III, Section IX, AWS welding standards, and regulated manufacturing requirements
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and industrial production operations
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams and coordinating multi-shift manufacturing activities
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, fabrication specifications, and production documentation
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) based on production needs
  • Experience in nuclear, energy, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Familiarity with NQA-1, NAVSEA, and nuclear quality assurance requirements preferred
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities preferred
  • Experience with production recovery planning, workforce coordination, and process optimization preferred

Compensation:

  • Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $110,000 to $125,000
