Production Supervisor II

The Production Supervisor II leads and coordinates manufacturing operations within the Holtec Advanced Manufacturing Division. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel, executing manufacturing schedules, and ensuring operations meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
The position partners closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production planning teams to ensure fabrication activities are completed in accordance with technical specifications, code requirements, and company procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in heavy steel fabrication, welding, machining operations, and demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet manufacturing schedules and production targets
- Plan work assignments, production sequences, and staffing levels to align with operational priorities
- Direct and oversee production personnel including welders, fitters, and laborers
- Ensure consistent operational performance across shifts and achievement of critical delivery milestones
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure fabrication activities comply with ASME, AWS, and other applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards
- Review drawings, blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine manufacturing requirements and work steps
- Monitor production operations to ensure adherence to established procedures, standards, and specifications
- Inspect materials, components, and finished products to identify defects or deviations
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production planning teams to resolve technical issues and maintain workflow
- Monitor production performance and address issues impacting efficiency, quality, and schedule adherence
- Provide training and guidance to production personnel on equipment operation, work procedures, and safety practices
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation
- Coordinate with other supervisors and departments to support efficient manufacturing operations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality
Requirements:
- High School diploma required; Associate degree or completion of a technical apprenticeship preferred
- 8–12 years of experience in heavy steel fabrication or industrial manufacturing environments
- 5–8 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, and production processes
- Experience working with ASME and AWS codes and regulated manufacturing standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) based on production needs
- Experience in nuclear, energy, or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, or shop floor coordination preferred
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies preferred

- Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $100,000 to $115,000
