Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing an unfailingly safe and secure source of clean energy using nuclear fission, called the SMR-300 small modular reactor. The position is offered by SMR LLC as a member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry.
The Process Analyst will work within the Quality Processes team to define, document, assess, and scrutinize the processes of SMR, LLC and then identify areas for potential improvement. The focus is on streamlining operations or developing solutions that allow for improved efficiency or increased productivity, while meeting applicable requirements. Will deploy, change, and manage work, processes, and practices across multiple disciplines (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Nuclear, Safety Analysis, Process/Systems, etc.) and partners to facilitate efficient delivery of the expanding scope define in an integrated project schedule. The Process Analyst will be a member of a team comprised of other process analysts, engineers, adjuncts, and project staff. Although loosely connected to Quality Assurance, this role is not within the Quality Assurance department.
The ideal Process Analyst will have at least 5 years of experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, design, engineering, and operations. The ideal Process Analyst will also have experience with nuclear power plants, project management, testing, and commissioning. They should have experience with process analysis and improvement methodologies and frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The Process Analyst will be part of a team executing a U.S. Government cost-shared development program requiring efficient completion of engineering assignments.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
•Deploy, change, and manage process improvements and quality assurance implementation.
•Support SMR-300 programs (e.g., risk, design configuration control).
•Coordinate and resolve technical items with internal and external stakeholders.
•Assist technical leadership in executing the project.
•Lead and execute key project initiatives as a member of the multinational team, including developing technical documentation.
•Provide mentoring to other project team members.
•Develop understanding of the SMR-300 concept design, its safety features and design functions of the plant’s Systems, Structures, and Components (SSC).
•Prepare and review deliverables and presentations.
•Support development of engineering and licensing documentation.

Minimum Requirements:
•B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, related field of engineering, or applicable experience.
•5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Process Analysis, and/or Continuous Improvement (10+ years for Senior Process Analyst). Equivalent experience outside of Nuclear may be considered (e.g., aviation, gas and oil sector, Project Management, auditing).
•Strong understanding of regulations or ability and willingness to quickly learn.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field of engineering.
•Experience in commercial nuclear or naval nuclear design and/or operation.
•Previously held reactor operator or senior reactor operator license.
•Experience in performing audits, especially of NQA-1 programs and ISO 9001: 2015 QMS
•Experience in 10 CFR 50 regulations.
•Project Management Professional (PMP).
•LEAN experience (product or process workflow improvement, including Six Sigma).
•CMMI Practitioner or Professional Certification
•Agile Certified Practitioner or similar (quick iterative methodology or similar).
Salary range: $85,000.00-$105,000.00
