Holtec International, a global leader in clean energy innovation, is seeking a motivated Network Administrator I/ Network Administrator II to join our Infrastructure and Security Operations team in Camden, NJ.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an early-career networking professional who is eager to expand their technical skillset in a hands-on enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to develop expertise in network operations, monitoring, and security.

You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to support, troubleshoot, and enhance Holtec’s enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites. This role emphasizes hands-on learning, professional development, and exposure to advanced technologies supporting critical infrastructure operations.

Minimum required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience supporting enterprise or large-scale network infrastructure.
  • Strong desire to learn and advance in areas such as network monitoring, firewall management, and automation.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA (Not Required).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
  • Candidates advancing beyond the initial interview will be invited to participate in an on-site, hands-on practical assessment to demonstrate troubleshooting and technical proficiency.
  • Routing & Switching: Cisco IOS/NX-OS, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and trunking (802.1q).
  • Wireless: Extreme/Aerohive Cloud IQ, Aruba, or other enterprise Wi-Fi platforms.
  • Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, ManageEngine, PRTG, Zabbix, SNMP, or Syslog.
  • VPN Technologies: IPSec Site-to-Site, SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, or GlobalProtect.
  • Automation & Scripting: Basic knowledge of Python or PowerShell, or interest in developing scripting capabilities.
  • Visualization & Documentation: Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio, or comparable tools for network topology and process documentation.
  • Virtualization: Working familiarity with VMware vSphere or similar platforms.
  • Firewalls: Experience reviewing logs, troubleshooting connectivity, and interest in developing expertise with Palo Alto or other Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs).

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimal travel (20–30%) between domestic sites.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).
  • Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required.
  • Training and certification support available to encourage professional advancement.

Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000
