Holtec International seeks applicants for its Training department, based at the company’s KPS Technology Campus in Camden, NJ. This department bears the responsibility for working with every aspect of Holtec International to teach and develop our employees as we continue our rapid growth. The specific position for which candidates are solicited herein is that of a Training Manager, which calls for a dynamic professional with a passion for organizational improvement.

 

The role of Training Manager is to ensure Holtec has accurate and effective training and development programs across its workforce. This position will oversee the development of training curricula, ensure compliance with the curricula, track training, deliver training where appropriate, modify training materials using software to enhance the materials and learning experience and coordinate with other departments to ensure training completion in a timely manner. This position will be the direct supervisor of training personnel spread across the engineering divisions, manufacturing divisions, corporate training, and learning management and administration. While supervisory functions will be the primary responsibility of this position, direct involvement is also expected, with a focus in technical and engineering training.

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee the development, organization, scheduling, facilitation, recordkeeping, and administrative functions of training programs across multiple departments within Holtec’s domestic operation centers including: the Consolidated Engineering Division, Advanced Manufacturing Division, Holtec Manufacturing Division, Orvillon Manufacturing Division, Small Modular Reactor, as well as all Corporate-required training.
  • Supervise and develop the professional development of a team of training department representatives, with anticipated future growth.
  • Serve as the training department advocate and liaison to upper-level management and stakeholders, participating in needs analysis sessions and identifying solutions to identified gaps.
  • Collaborate with engineering managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts to develop and provide technical and engineering training program content
  • Coordinate with external training providers to provide training support for areas of growth outside of what is capable with internal capabilities.
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop partnerships with neighboring schoolhouses and training centers in anticipation of future recruitment efforts.
  • Develop and serve as custodian for Holtec training and development policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal information technology and software development teams to develop continuous improvement initiatives for Holtec software applications.
  • Responsible for analyzing training needs, developing curriculum, and delivering courses in a variety of settings to include traditional classroom presentations, recorded presentations, virtual classroom, etc.
  • Utilize Holtec’s Learning Management System (LMS) to coordinate training schedules, track training needs, and develop reports to ensure measurement objectives are met. 
  • Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts to develop program content by utilizing automation software, PowerPoint and other presentation software.
  • Continually evaluate procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed.
  • React positively to changing developments and help lead the way forward to include new developments in training targeted to both new and existing employees.
  • Develop and maintain support materials.

        

 

 

Physical Demands & Abilities:

  • Ability to assess needs related to Holtec practices, procedures and produce training programs and materials to target these needs.
  • Initiative, motivation, creativity, and ability to understand many areas of the business.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to produce and deliver quality training programs.
  • Able to provide support through active participation in an office environment or on the production floor to include climbing stairs, standing, sitting, crouching, bending, reaching, and lifting of up to 25 pounds.

 

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in training development, engineering, project management, or related business field.
  • Nuclear experience preferred.
  • Prior training and presentation experience preferred.
  • Prior technical or engineering-related training experience preferred.
  • Good communication and presentations skills (written and verbal)
  • Professional demeanor, innovative thinker.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Power Point, Word, Excel and similar programs required.
  • Knowledge of instructional design software preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.

 

Salary range: $128,000.00  – $148,000.00
