Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing an unfailingly safe and secure source of clean energy using nuclear fission called the SMR-300 small modular reactor. The position is offered by SMR LLC, a member of the Holtec International family—a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for the nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry. Areas of responsibility may include the following:

  • Support development of the SMR-300 Cyber Security Program under direction, including drafting procedures, templates, and compliance matrices aligned with NRC cyber rules and guidance (RG 5.71 / relevant NEI guidance).
  • Support requirements capture, traceability, and evidence tracking for cyber security requirements applicable to control systems and product software.
  • Assist with cyber risk assessments / threat modeling activities and documentation as assigned.
  • Support supplier/subcontractor deliverable tracking and review comment resolution.
  • Support licensing documentation preparation (traceability, conformance evidence packaging, review comment incorporation).

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical, Computer, Software or I&C Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 10–15 years of experience.
  • Recognized SME-level capability; defines strategy and leads execution for the SMR-300 Cyber Security Program; provides strategic technical direction.
  • Authors and approves key technical documents, policies, procedures, and standards; leads multi-disciplinary teams and ensures accountability for results.
  • Owns cyber security requirements for control systems and product software and drives implementation through engineering teams and suppliers; leads cyber-related licensing support and regulatory interactions.
  • Position requires access to 10 CFR 810 Export Controlled Information. 
  • Position requires access to Safeguards information which  requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass background screening to get a safeguards qualification.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct nuclear cybersecurity program leadership strongly preferred (RG 5.71 implementation, licensing-supporting evidence ownership, supplier oversight).
  • Track record guiding regulatory interactions and multidisciplinary stakeholders.

 

Salary range: $150,000.00-$180,000.00
