Holtec International seeks a detail oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to support the Finance Department. The Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for reviewing invoices for accuracy, matching invoices to purchase orders, and ensuring timely processing of payments in accordance with company policies. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting vendor communication, and ensuring efficient accounts payable operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment while managing daily invoice processing and reconciliation tasks.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • One to three years of accounts payable experience with purchase order matching
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a flexible team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to problem solve
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)

 

Additional Desirable Qualifications

Experience with invoice reconciliation systems, ERP platforms, or accounting software, experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting, and familiarity with purchase order workflows are preferred.

 

Specific Areas of Responsibility

  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Verify line item charges, discounts, and freight charges
  • Identify invoice errors and apply company policy and procedure to correct them
  • Match invoices to respective purchase orders and schedule payments based on purchase contract terms
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements and communicate findings appropriately
  • Perform vendor statement reconciliation and maintain accurate records
  • Track, process, and complete accounts payable transactions including documentation accuracy and issue resolution
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned in support of Finance and Accounting objectives

 

Salary: $21 to $25 per hour
